Time and Clocks

This site tells about revolutions in time keeping.  My favorite page on this site tells about the quartz watch.  Here’s how it works:  it has a tiny quartz crystal in it.  Two iron bars squish the crystal like Jell-O but the crystal is not crushed.  It has a quartz shaped element. (I don’t know what this element is.)  And it also has a quartz oscillator.  For more information visit http://www.britannica.com/clockworks/main.html
